The o-rings in this kit meet ASTM D2000 standards. This kit contains the 32 most popular SAE sizes needed for all sorts of repairs. Nitrile has excellent temperature range and is primarily used in oil and gas applications, but it is also a great general purpose material. Nitrile has an operating temperature range of -40 to 220F. This is a brand new item in a plastic case and comes with a protective cardboard box.
Acceptable uses include:
• Petroleum oils & fuels
• Silicone oils & greases
• Ethylene glycol
• Dilute acids
• Water (below 212° F)
Not acceptable for:
• Aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, xylene)
• Automotive brake fluid
• Halogen derivatives (carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene)
• Ketones (MEK), acetone)
• Phosphate ester hydraulic fluids (Skydrol®, Pydraul®)
• Strong acids
